Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education (OPEFFE)

One of the first major projects that I took on as a student in the Interactive Media Management Program at Centennial College, was a consultation for a website renovation. I was grouped with 3 brilliant women who were absolutely amazing. We decided to name our group Minerva, based on the Roman goddess of handicrafts, the professions, the arts, war.

Our task was to work with the OPEFFE and as far as clients go, it was a wonderful experience. The group elected to make me the main liaison between us and the company and it was an experience I really enjoyed. Our work won us the Dean's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award. Current State Analysis

The first thing we started with was a Current State Analysis. Here we looked at the company's current web and analyzed the state based on heuristics and disability challenges.

We broke down the comments into good, impartial, and areas for improvement. We presented this file to the client so that they could see what our perspective was.

Personas and Content Strategy

We sent out surveys to the members of the foundation as well as on LinkedIn. We conducted interviews with engineers and asked them what would motivate them to support the foundation and its goals.

From those surveys, we were able to interview a few and create the personas as seen above. We also created a content strategy that served as a guide for how the content would best appear. This included the voice and tone as well as the content goal.
